In 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) released a new ECAS (Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme) logo. The new logo design is more streamlined and aims to improve product recognition. To facilitate a smooth transition, MoIAT has set the following timeline:
Products already on the local market have a 12 month transition period to comply with the new requirements, with the transition period ending on September 15, 2025.
New products: All new products entering the UAE market must comply with the updated standards within 6 months of the release. For new applications submitted after March 15, 2025, the new logo must be used mandatorily.
The new ECAS logo no longer restricts the size of the logo to avoid additional issues caused by different products using different sizes.
