[Israel] SII Certification Standard SI 62368-1 Transition Notice

According to the latest Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) notification (G/TBT/N/ISR/1245/Add.1) submitted by the Standards Institution of Israel (SII) to the World Trade Organization (WTO), Israel has officially released the revised mandatory standard SI 62368-1:2024. This standard is aligned with the latest international IEC 62368-1 specifications.

To ensure products meet the updated safety requirements of the Israeli market, the SII has established a clear transition period.

Please take note of the following critical timelines regarding current SII certificates:

Key Deadlines

Transition Period Deadline: January 31, 2026 Until this date, existing SI 62368-1 certificates issued based on the IEC 62368-1:2014 (Edition 2.0) report remain valid.

Mandatory Implementation Date: February 1, 2026 Effective from this date, Israel will no longer accept compliance evidence based on the old version (IEC 62368-1:2014). All relevant products exported to Israel must have their SII certificates upgraded to comply with the latest SI 62368-1:2024.

Action Required

If your current SII certificates are based on IEC 62368-1:2014 (or earlier versions), please ensure you complete the standard upgrade before the deadline to avoid customs clearance issues or certificate invalidation.
